We’re a small team and we hold very little about you. This page says exactly what we hold, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Launch My Boutique, operated by its founder as a sole trader from Bangladesh, is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: [email protected].
2. If you just visit this website
We keep this page light on purpose. Our fonts are hosted on our own server rather than loaded from a third party, so simply reading this page does not hand your visit to an outside company.
Our hosting and security provider records standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages requested — to keep the site online and block attacks. We measure only two things about how the page is used: how many people open the live demo, and how many people book a walkthrough. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data to anyone, ever.
Our visitor measurement is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, which is why this site shows no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
3. If we contact you on social media
We find boutiques whose public accounts show they take orders through direct messages, and we message them — as a person, from a real account, about their actual business. While a conversation is in progress we may note your public account name, your first name, the business details you tell us, and whether you’d like us to follow up.
Ask us to stop and we stop, permanently, and we delete what we noted. One message saying “not interested” is enough; you don’t need to explain. We don’t use automated messaging tools, we don’t buy lists, and we don’t pass your details to anyone else.
If we build a personalised demo for you — your products shown in a working store — that demo is yours and private. We never post it publicly, never show it to another boutique, and never reuse it in our marketing.
4. If you book or take a call with us
Our scheduling page collects your name, email, timezone and the times you choose. Video calls run on a third-party meeting platform. If we record a call, we tell you at the start and ask first — you can say no and the call goes ahead unrecorded. Recordings are used only to improve how we explain things, are seen only by our own team, and are deleted within 12 months.
5. If you become a client
To build and run your store we hold: your name and business name, email, phone or messaging number, billing details, your logo and product photos, your product list, your shipping and returns information, your domain details, and the operational records of your store.
Payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details — they go directly to the provider.
6. Why we’re allowed to hold it
| What | Why we hold it |
|---|---|
| Client information and content | To perform the contract you’ve entered into with us |
| Prospect notes during an outreach conversation | Our legitimate interest in contacting businesses about a service relevant to them — overridden immediately when you ask us to stop |
| Call recordings | Your consent, given at the start of the call |
| Invoices and tax records | A legal obligation to keep them |
| Security and server logs | Our legitimate interest in keeping the service online and secure |
7. Who else touches your data
We use a small number of established providers to run the business. Each one sees only what it needs to:
| Provider type | What they handle |
|---|---|
| Hosting and network security | The servers and domain routing behind your store and this website |
| Scheduling and video calls | Bookings and walkthrough calls |
| Payment provider | Your deposit, balance and monthly payments |
| Email delivery | Order confirmations and shipping notifications sent to your buyers |
| Messaging platforms | Conversations that happen where you chose to have them |
| Mailbox provider | Our email with you |
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers.
8. Your buyers’ data
Your store collects information about your own customers — names, addresses, order details. That data is yours. We handle it only as needed to keep your store running, on your instructions, and we do not use it for anything of our own. You are the controller of it and responsible for the privacy notice your own store shows to your buyers; we’ll help you put a sensible one in place at launch.
9. Where your data goes
We operate from Bangladesh and use providers based in the United States and Europe, so your information is transferred internationally. Where the law requires safeguards for those transfers, our providers operate under standard contractual clauses.
10. How long we keep things
- Prospect notes: deleted when you ask us to stop, or within 12 months of the last conversation
- Call recordings: up to 12 months
- Client data: for as long as you’re a client, then 30 days after you leave (see Terms §11), apart from invoices and tax records, which we keep as long as the law requires
- Server and security logs: short rolling periods set by our providers
11. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it — and we’ll do it. If you’re in the UK or EU, you also have the right to receive your data in a portable format, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to complain to your national data protection authority. If you’re in California, you have the right to know what we collect and to ask us to delete it; we don’t sell personal information, so there’s nothing for you to opt out of.
Email [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner, and we won’t make you justify the request.
12. Security
Accounts are protected with unique passwords and two-factor authentication. Client stores are backed up regularly to separate storage. Access to client systems is limited to the people building and running them. No system is perfectly secure, but we don’t cut corners here, and if a breach ever affected your data we would tell you promptly and plainly.
13. Children
Our service is sold to businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
14. Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top, and we’ll email active clients about anything significant.
15. Contact and complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, tell us first — we’d rather fix it. If that doesn’t resolve it, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
